GIRLS MAKE WORLD CUP SEMI’S.


The French International girls, earned their place in the World Cup semi-final by beating Canada 23-8 at the Surrey Sports ground Guildford, England, therefore finishing top of their pool and earning them the right to play the mighty All Blacks in the semi-final next Wed at the Stoop London (premiership ground of Harlequins). The other semi-final is between England and Australia.
Montpellier’s Elodie Poublan was selected to play at full back with Gaelle Mignot and Audrey Parra on the bench. Elodie had a hand in one of the tries, making a clean break, drawing the opposition and then giving a perfect pass to centre Lucille Godiveau who then scampered the remaining 22mts to score the first of her two tries, Claire Canal got the other try.
