TUESDAY PRESS TRAINING DAY

Mercredi 05 Septembre 2012

The next couple of weeks Montpellier have 2 very difficult matches, this coming Saturday against top of the table Biarritz away from home and the following Friday week at home to Toulon also unbeaten this season, Toulon have played all their matches so far away from home..

Firstly BO  who after a dismal last season did not sign that many new players but they seem to have things about right up to now as they are still unbeaten, and took the scalp of Toulouse last weekend at home. It will be a difficult challenge for our Cistes, but last year success at Biarritz started a 14 point haul in 10 days for Montpellier whether the same can be done again this season is to be seen. Toulon on the other hand had already a galaxy of stars and this season has added, with names like Mermoz, Michalak, Masoe, Sheridan, Jenkins just to mention a few, and the old nearly repaired wounds of these two clubs could again be reopened, obviously in a sporting sense, but a Montpellier v Toulon Friday evening match is certainly a mouth watering experience, plus of course it will be Canal + Gala televised match of the day. Then of course there is the scooter who will be the first to mention it in the next couple of weeks ??? Presidents, Altrad, Boudjellal, or coaches Laporte, Galthie it could even be the press I place my money on the latter.

The press was out in numbers this Tuesday morning with several TV cameras ready to shoot anything out of the ordinary but the coaches certainly did not give anything away. They did however put the boys through their paces, and most were very happy that the temperature had dropped a good 10° since the last couple of weeks. One or two of the players sat out training either suffering knocks from this weekend or just general fatigue, but all should be in order and present for the coaches to pick an experienced and  injury free squad ready to go to Biarritz on Friday for Saturday match ko. 15.00. Hopefully the team can come back with points but they have an enormous task ahead of them.
