THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGE….

Mercredi 07 Novembre 2012

Tuesday lunch time saw the second public training day of the season, well attended by Grandparents, parents and supporters both young and old, they had to be patient as the arrival of the players was a little retarded but the session was well worth the wait.
Thierry Cassan opened the training with his Greco-Roman wrestling exercises, and then it was general ball play and preparation for Friday evening’s game for the rest of the session, with the usual dedications of photos and autographs at the end. The Montpellier comm. had distributed on arrival the annual Panini rugby sticker album which was taken by all with some of the younger elements coming back for more.
Now the ultimate challenge awaits Montpellier, the visit to Toulouse on Friday evening KO. 20.55, to play the current French Champions, Stade Toulouse.
Montpellier have never beaten Stade in the Top14, but with many of their star players away on International duty this seems as good a time as any to produce something out of the ordinary, Montpellier have 5 wins on the bounce can they make it 6???
They will be without Captain Fulgence Ouedraogo, Francois Trinh-Duc, Augustin Creevy and Chippie Figallo, all being selected for their National teams, the Georgians Mamuka Gorgodze and Micha Nariashvili are away for 3 days in Toulouse with their National team for a training camp but will be available for the Friday evening encounter.
This game will show exactly where Montpellier stand in the present hierarchy, can they produce something special and overtake Toulouse in the TOP 14 as they are just 2 little points behind them in 4th place.
Do not be surprised if Saturday morning’s headlines read something like...
