ONE MATCH AWAY FROM WORLD CUP SEMI-FINAL.

The French girls marched on in their second pool game of this year’s Feminine World Cup game against Scotland, after winning the first match 15-7 against Sweden; they were good enough to come out 17-7 winners at the Surrey Sports Park in Guildford England.

Our very own Elodie Poublan was the first on the score sheet touching down after only 4 minutes, tries followed by Hebel and Agricole, Bailon added one transformation.

Gaelle Mignot was also selected to play in the Scottish game; our other two Montpelleriens, Audrey Parra and Anais Lagougine were rested for this match after participating in the first game against Sweden.

The French girls now play Canada who head their pool, on Saturday 28th at Guildford for a place in the semi-final, a win is imperative if they are to progress into the last four.
Everyone is behind them and we all wish them the very best of luck.

Steve Whittell.
