Saturday sees Montpellier travel to Perpignan the French TOP 14 Finalists of last season.
Not the best of hunting ground for MHR, but after last week’s very positive victory against Racing the confidence is booming and USAP had a disappointing result against Brive losing 26-11 away from home.
The Gentle Giant and the General, Eric Bechu and Fabien Galthie will be working very hard with their troops this week, trying to manipulate a victory against a team that are nearly invincible at home, no mean feat but always possible seeing the excellent performances of Montpellier so far this season.
Perpignan will be without their Internationals Capt Nico Mas, Max Mermoz, Guilham Guirado, sidelined because of summer International duties; this does not mean that Perpignan will be a walkover, far from it, the Catalans have a strong squad and there are plenty of superb players to replace them.
Montpellier however will be travelling with renewed spirit and confidence, a quality that is always worth a few points, lets hope the supporters travel in large numbers to get behind their Blue and Whites, a possible, but very tough ask against the Blood and Gold of Perpignan.
