SERIOUS PREPARATIONS FOR THE PARISIANS.
Publié le 24/03/2011
This week saw Montpellier’s preparations for the forthcoming match against Stade Francais go into overdrive. The squad has left headquarters and gone to the coast for a 2 day training camp at the Stade Michael Millet Agde. A change of scenery to obtain the necessary mental preparation is never going to be a bad option, and the last 5 games of this season’s TOP 14 could be the turning point in Montpellier’s elite history.
The team is lying in 6th place alongside Biarritz with 57pts, but there are only 6pts separating 3rd placed Castres on 59pts and 9th placed USAP with 53pts, but if one could be honest and try and forecast results Montpellier have probably the slightly easier last 5 fixtures, but nothing is easy this season, and every future match could possibly be a banana skin situation, so it will take an almighty effort to gain the maximum of points necessary to enable the team to qualify in one of those magic first 6 places, which results in H Cup participation next season. That effort will surely be made and Montpellier will have their moment in Paradise, Fingers Crossed!!!
MONTPELLIER V STADE FRANCAIS.
SUNDAY 27TH MARCH.
STADE YVES DU MANOIR KO. 21.00
Montpellier has their injury problems and will try to get a couple more of our players out of the infirmary this week, but Stade Français have their own problems with Capt. Sergio Parisse and England’s 6 Nations player Tom Palmer both uncertain.
This will be a difficult match for both teams but, MONTPELLIER NEEDS YOU ALL so let’s have a full house and get behind our Cysts and encourage them on to victory, YOU THE SUPPORTERS are as important as the guys wearing the Blue and White on the park!!!
Steve Whittell.
