MHRC'S ACTIONS y at the top in Montpellier’s district

Our primary wish is to share our passion for rugby and its athletic values : fighting spirit, self-abnegation and respect for others.
We are committed to share these values to the young in the suburbs of Montpellier.
Every year our coaches and instructors set up a rugby program with 7 schools from the suburban area of ‘La paillade’. Three times in the year, 300 children meet and play in rugby tournaments.
The Club is also deeply involved in various community projects founded by the schools, suburban citizen actions, and the local public institutions such as Montpellier’s City Hall and District and the local administrative subdivision of Hérault.

In addition, specific programs have been put in place for the younger kits and for a female public. This year we aim to play a growing role in the development of athletic activities for young ladies. Thus we have put in place a dedicated rugby program in the suburban area of ‘La Mosson’.
Of course, as we do not intend to be active in difficult areas only, we have also set up other partnerships with schools from all around the district : in the neighbour towns of Juvignac, Saint Georges d’Orques, but also Elementary schools from Vendargues or downtown Montpellier, such as Charles Daviler School.

In junior highs we are working to structure rugby schools, satellite to the Club Academy Program. Several Junior Highs are concerned, Las Cases, Joffre, Gérard Philippe, and Le Crès with its lady rugby school.
To increase our exposure in the least expected locations, we now possess four transportable inflated playgrounds. This miniature rugby park helps us promote our activities in neighbour downtown cities, on the local beaches – with our MHRC’s TOUR, or in fact, pretty much anywhere we can hit a young enthusiastic public who is all up for a short game and a quick introduction to rugby.
